| | | | | | | | | | | | ABOUT THE 2013 BMW 3 SERIES | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | Many other companies try to duplicate the BMW 3-series, but no one else can come close to the industry's leading luxury sports-sedan. It will be released as a four-door sedan, sports wagon, coupe, and a hard-top convertible. Each body type is available in the 328i and 335i trims. The sedans, sports wagon, and coupes offer an xDrive model. The sedan also offers an optional ActiveHyrbid version as well. Beyond that, the trims are broken up into a Sport Line, Luxury Line, Modern Line, and M Sport Line. The standard model is powered by a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Upgraded versions have a 300-horsepower or 335-horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline V6.It is run by either a six-speed manual or a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is optional. All versions come with new controls that modify powertrain management: Comfort, Sport, Sport +, and Eco Pro. The Eco Pro mode promises to reduce fuel consumption by as much as 20%. The 2013 BMW 3 Series' exterior sports 18" multi-spoke wheels, the design of which is based on the line chosen. The M Sport line boasts alloy wheels, M Aerodynamic Kit, and exclusive paint. High-gloss and chrome accents accentuate the sleek design of all trims. It is slightly larger than previous model years. The larger exterior dimensions make the interior roomier for both driver and passengers. The redesign is mostly driver-based and includes a new display unit and updated technology. The extensive list of technology features include a color heads-up display, self-parking system, lane departure warning system, camera-based collision warning system, and more. Past models have been the maker's bestselling vehicle, and the 2013 BMW 3-series's precise handling and fun driving feel keep this tradition alive. | | | |
